Thunder is Coming!

I just wanted to remind everyone, like you don't know, but this Saturday is Thunder Over Louisville.  I hear the jets flying into town today screaming overhead.  Also, Thursday the highways start changing their lanes.  Be patient and it will be a great weekend.

This week I will be sending out giggles and facts, so while you are in traffic, you will have some entertainment for your group.

Air Stream Trailer Birdhouse

FLASHBACK.....Did your family have an Air Stream Trailer in the 1970's?  For me, it is a fawn memory of mine.  My Grandfather had one and went everywhere in it--he love that thing.  Well now....YOUR BIRDS can have one and you can enjoy it while you sit on your back porch watching it swing in the trees.  (It also comes in a red VW van and a mulit colored VW Bug).

Hummingbird houses are in....and just in time. Get those fellows a house so they can come back year after year. Made from hard wood, just wash them out at the end of the season and re-use. If you got one last year, please comment and let people hear how they worked. They make a GREAT GIFT.

20th Annual Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade

Description: The Frankfort Avenue Business Association (FABA) would like to invite you to the 20th Annual Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade on Saturday April 7th, 2012.

Last year’s parade was a tremendous success and lots of fun for the whole family. The parade will also include antique cars, marching bands, dance teams, horse drawn carriages, neighborhood groups and businesses, Shriner cars, floats, Hwang’s Martial artists, plenty of families costumed for the event, dogs with rabbit ears, children with Easter bonnets and baskets, and plenty of FREE CANDY!!

FABA will give out the “Good Ears” awards for the most creative floats and outrageous Easter Bonnets. The Judging Stand will be located in front of the IRISH ROVER at 2319 FRANKFORT AVENUE. Those who wish to be considered for one of the awards will be asked to stop in front of the judges and show off their Easter Style. Don't forget your Easter Bonnet and come out to celebrate the return of spring to beautiful Frankfort Avenue on Saturday April 7th 2012!

The fun of this parade is that ANYONE and EVERYONE can participate. No sign up fee! Just show up! Participants need to register at St. Mark's parking lot at 11:00 a.m. Larger groups or organizations are asked to call 419-6159 prior to the parade.

The Parade begins at approximately 11:30 a.m. in front of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church at 2822 Frankfort Avenue. Parade heads west towards downtown Louisville ending at Haldeman Avenue.
